1965 Chevy II Nova Rat Rod
« on: February 14, 2014, 12:43:54 PM »

1965 Chevy II Nova, originally a 3 speed I6 government car belonging to Contra Costa County, California.

Now a four speed 327. Stock subframe, SS suspension, clutch boss dropped, oil filter relocated to passenger compartment, everything else stock.

Yes, that's right, four wheel unboosted drums, with 350hp. Live fast.

Yeah this is the best car ever made.

What did the government do with such a majestic steed?

We aren't really sure, to be honest. The trunk has mounts for a remote radio phone - the county could have used it for anything.

One of these, but with a remote mount phone.

Those mounts, the middle antenna mount and the county tag on the dashboard are all we really know. I need to get a picture of what the car looks like now, with the revenuer lettering and antennas. We were trying to get one of the original radio phones, but the damn things go for $700 on the rare occasions they come up.

I'm pretty sure the govt used it to transport Don Adams from his Hollywod trailer to his legit CIA training facility.

This would be a great daily driver if your daily driving includes burnouts from stop lights.
